A CRY OR A CROWN

LUKE 12: 47-48? And that servant, which knew his lord’s will and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.’’ From Luke 12:47, we have three responsibilities: • Know the will of God • Prepare for it • Do deeds in alignment to it. There are consequences for not discovering, not preparing for or not doing deeds in alignment to the will of God. In verse 48, we see that knowledge brings responsibility but knowledge that you don’t act upon has greater consequences. A man who doesn’t know the will of God still suffers consequences of such ignorance, however little. Imagine somebody who lived on the earth, who was never born-again and did not discover the will of God for his life, he will sti...

THE BIBLE DEVIL IS A DEFEATED DEVIL

LUKE 11:14-21 The devil continues to cheat many believers simply because they don’t study the scriptures and understand the biblical truth about him; the biblical devil is a defeated devil. This truth will help you to walk in victory. After Jesus resurrected, the position of the devil relative to our lives changed- He became defeated. Jesus took the legal claim that the devil had over humanity to exercise dominion from him and now every born-again can exercise that same authority over the devil. He is not who he used to be; he’s now a defeated devil. Our text tells us that the devil cannot cast out devils, what the devil can do is to practice the principle of displacement and replacement. Only Jesus can cast out devils and only in His Name can this be done. Nothing else can do that. Before Jesus came, the devil was referred to as a strong man who (armed with all kinds of lie and deception) kept his goods – human beings, health of the people, their wellbeing and destinies, but when ...

BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE OF THE DEVIL

Beloved, rely on the bible for information on the devil, don’t let the old information about the devil or the information that he is spreading about himself affect you. The information from the bible alone gives the true picture. Hebrews 2:14-15speaks of what Jesus has done to the devil. We will look at what the bible tells us about the devil; this will fuel your authority and confidence.  I John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” If Jesus has done that, the devil should not be defeating the believers. Deception built on the ignorance of people is the major key. Many don’t know the truth about the devil and they think he is still powerful.  Luke 9:1 and Luke 10:17 tells us that it is through the name of Jesus you have the authority over the devil. You must know that you can exercise that authority. Likewise, in Luke 10:18-19, Jesus referred to every born-again person that they have authority over the d...

Develop and sustain intimacy with God- Mark 3:13-15; Psalm 27:4-6

Bible in a year:  Neh. 11:1-12:26, 1 Cor. 10:14-11:2, Psalm 34:11-22, Prov. 21:14-16 The first thing God called us to, as believers, is to intimacy with Himself. Intimacy with God is a non-negotiable issue in our lives that threatens the devil. The proof of intimacy with God is brokenness. How broken you are reveals your intimacy with God. Intimacy is what you get by entering into consistent and continuous fellowship with God. Benefits of Intimacy with God are as follows: Accuracy: Your accuracy in life and work is an outflow of your intimacy with God. Impregnation: God impregnates you with visions and answers for your day and generation. Resemblance: Who you get intimate with is who you will resemble. Divine secrets (Job 29: 2-4): Intimacy with God opens his secrets to you. Promotion (Psa. 37:4-5): Promotion comes when you get intimate with God. Promotion without intimacy is a snare. Power: Intimacy with the powerful makes you powerful. Revelations: God reve...

DEVELOP A SENSE OF DIVINE DESTINY (1)

HEB. 12:1-2, 1COR. 9:24-27 There are a lot of people today that are dabbling into the work of ministry in the kingdom of God while many Christians on the other hand think they are just in church to warm benches or increase the number, no, you are there to be trained in church and to go to the world to fulfill your ministry. Effects of having a sense of divine destiny: 1. It will cause you to govern yourself in order to fulfill that destiny - 1Cor.9:24-25. The sense of destiny brings to bear on your physical life, a control that you can’t just do anything. It may not be sinful, but it is not necessary, it’s not edifying, it’s not expedient, it’s not going to contribute to your fulfillment of destiny. A sense of destiny brings discipline to your life. Joseph went through the basics; that was why God took him through all that he went through in life. He was acquiring the basics in the face of his troubles, so when he became the prime minister, he didn’t fall through pride or any...
